QuarantineKit is built on one idea: your data is yours. We do not sell it, we do not advertise against it, and we do not build profiles from it. This page explains what the app stores, where it lives, and what control you have. The short version is that everything stays on your device and none of it reaches us.
Everything you enter stays on your phone:
The app uses what you enter only to show it back to you: your household list, the health logs, the supply runway, and your reminders. It does not send any of it anywhere. There is no server involved.
We share nothing, because we receive nothing. Your data never leaves your device, so there is nothing for us to give to anyone. The only time your information leaves the app is if you choose to export or share a health report yourself.
We keep nothing, because nothing reaches us. Your data stays on your device and is kept or deleted entirely by you. Deleting the app's data in Settings, or uninstalling the app, permanently erases it. There is no copy anywhere else to recover, so export a backup first if you want to keep one.
Privacy laws give you rights over personal data a company holds about you. In this app those rights are already met by design, because we hold none of it:
If you have a question, write to support@emberinformation.com and we will reply within 30 days.
There is no server to break into and no database of users to leak, because neither exists. The safety of your data is the safety of your device, so keep it locked with a screen lock or PIN, and be as careful with any report you export as you would with the original.
QuarantineKit is built local-first. Your data lives on your device, not on a server we run. This is a deliberate design choice, not a slogan.
QuarantineKit is a personal tracking tool for managing a household through an illness. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or monitor any medical condition, and it does not give medical advice. Temperatures, symptoms, and the health report are a record for your own reference only.
The household health report is a summary you can review or share with a healthcare provider. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace professional medical judgment. If someone is seriously unwell, use your own judgment about seeking care.
Your household health data is stored only on this device and is never uploaded or transmitted. Because it lives only here, keeping this device secure, and exporting a backup if you want one, is up to you. Clearing the app's data permanently erases it.
A household can include children, and you may log their temperatures and symptoms. That information stays on your device under your control, exactly like everyone else's in the app. We never receive it. You decide what to record and when to delete it.
You can get QuarantineKit from an app store such as Google Play, and in the future you may be able to buy it directly from us. When you get it through a store, that store handles the purchase under its own terms, and we do not receive your name, email, or payment information from it. If you ever buy QuarantineKit or an add-on directly from Ember Information Systems LLC, for example through our own website, we collect the email address you give us and keep a record of the purchase so we can deliver it and support it. In that case payment is handled by our payment processor, Stripe, and we never see or store your card details. We do not use any of this to advertise to you or to build a profile.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and note what changed. Because the app holds no contact details for you, we cannot email you about changes, so check this page when a new version of the app ships.
